Recording and processing personal data
If you visit our websites, our web server will automatically register the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the website you are visiting us from, the web pages of ours which you access and the date and length of your visit. All this information is recorded to help us continually further enhance our online platforms.
Personal data will only be stored by us if this is initiated by you, e.g. by registering for a service or facility, participating in a survey, entering a competition or concluding a contractual agreement.
Data protection for applicants
Lufthansa Aviation Training GmbH has commissioned Deutsche Lufthansa AG, BRE LO/T-R to process the online applications and administer the aptitude assessments for the ab initio pilot training courses of the European Flight Academy.
We attach great importance to protecting your personal data. In view of this, we would like to inform you about the following data protection principles, which Deutsche Lufthansa AG undertakes to consistently observe in the interests of ensuring that every candidate can apply to the European Flight Academy with full confidence and trust:
We use and process your personal data in our application management system solely for the purposes of ensuring the correct and effective handling of the application procedure.
In submitting your personal data you automatically authorize us to store such data for the above purposes. You may revoke this authorization at any time. Such revocation will, however, mean that we are unable to further process your application.
A stored application will be kept in our system for a maximum of 12 months. After this 12-month period, agreement to the provisions of this Data Protection Declaration must be obtained again from the user concerned. Should it be so obtained, the data may be stored for a further 12 months.
Should your application not result in your acceptance for pilot training, a “recognition data set” will be stored in our system, to enable us to recognize you should you apply again. This recognition data set will consist of your last name, first name, address, date of birth, school-leaving qualification and aptitude assessment history.
All the data transferred to our application management system are automatically encrypted by LAT. All the actions taken to ensure data security always reflect and incorporate the latest technologies available.
